David HOCKNEY

David HOCKNEY - born July 9, 1937 in Bradford (United Kingdom). Lives and works in Los Angeles (USA) and London (United Kingdom).

David Hockney is a British artist affiliated with Pop Art, whose practice includes painting, photography, engraving, scenography… David Hockney is particularly known for his swimming pool paintings, with undulating reflections (such as Portrait of an Artist (Pool with two figures), 1972). As well as for his photographs composed of multiple superimposed or juxtaposed photographs, combining different vanishing points and different temporalities, in a single space (such as Pearblossom Highway, 11th-18th April 1986).
